| Since our next unit will be plate tectonics, we absolutely need to include the earthquake that hit Japan. We need to think of some type of project that relates to the recent events in Japan. Post some ideas! |

It has been calculated that the 9.0 Earthquake in Japan opened up a 250 mile crack in the Earth that swallowed up enough of the Earth's crust changing the Earth's mass enough resulting in the rotation of the Earth to speed up shortening our day by 1.8 microseconds! How many minutes less per week do you now have to go to school?
